By booking services with Emergency Repairs 24/7, a subsidiary of Pegnumi Contracting Ireland, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.
Cancellations: At Emergency Repairs 24/7 (ER), we strive to make your experience as smooth as possible. If you need to cancel, our policy is fair and transparent:
• If you cancel before a contractor is dispatched, we’ll provide a full refund of any payment made.
• If you cancel after we’ve dispatched a contractor, or if you’re not available at the agreed time and we can’t contact you, a 50% refund of the upfront callout and first-hour fee will apply to cover our costs.
• If ER is unable to attend your location or complete the repair for a valid reason (e.g., unavailable specialised parts), we’ll issue a full refund promptly.
Our trusted contractors carefully plan their schedules to meet the needs of our valued customers across Ireland, from Cork to Belfast. A cancellation fee (50% of the callout and first-hour fee) applies if you cancel after a contractor has been dispatched, as this compensates for their time and travel. If the contractor is already en route, the full callout fee may be payable.
Our team at ER invests time in coordinating and organising appointments. The cancellation fee helps cover the administrative effort involved in managing bookings and cancellations, ensuring we can keep delivering 24/7 service.
To cancel a booking, please contact our customer service team as soon as possible via email at jac.jones@emergencyrepairs247.ie or call +353 1603 7055. Cancellations made after a contractor is dispatched will be subject to the cancellation fee or full callout fee if the contractor is en route.
If ER cannot fulfil its obligations (e.g., unable to attend or complete a repair for a valid reason), we’ll process a full refund promptly to your nominated bank account (name, sort code, and account number). We do not store customer debit or credit card details for your security. Refunds are typically processed within 5 working days, and we’ll keep you updated.
If you need to modify your booking, please contact us before our contractor has left to attend your repair or emergency appointment. We’ll do our best to accommodate your request, whether it’s a change in time or service details.

Once your booking is confirmed with Emergency Repairs 24/7, the callout and first-hour fee is non-refundable unless ER cannot attend or complete the repair for a valid reason, as outlined in our cancellation policy. Subsequent hours are charged at half the rate of the first hour. If a repair will take longer than an hour, we’ll call you with a full, transparent quote for the complete job. • User: An individual who books a repair or service with Emergency Repairs 24/7.
• Contractor: A tradesperson dispatched by ER to complete a repair for the user.
Emergency Repairs 24/7 operates as a finder’s service, connecting you to a network of accredited, experienced, and vetted contractors across Ireland. These contractors are self-employed and work independently, not as direct employees or subcontractors of ER. We link the job to the contractor in rapid time. By accepting these terms, you agree that, despite our rigorous vetting to ensure qualifications, accreditations, and insurance, ER is not responsible for the quality of the work provided by the contractor. That responsibility lies solely with the contractor who carries out the work.
You also accept that our fee is for booking and dispatching a contractor. Additional payment for the repair is made directly to the contractor, typically at a rate agreed upon in the quote provided for jobs exceeding one hour. By allowing a contractor to enter your premises, as arranged by ER, you accept these terms, even without a written reply (via SMS or email) to the terms sent when you book.
ER aims to attend on the same day a booking is made but cannot guarantee this due to factors like demand, weather, or traffic. We do not offer compensation if a contractor fails to arrive on time. The quality and workmanship of the repair are the sole responsibility of the contractor, not ER. As our service is categorised as “urgent repairs and maintenance” under Irish consumer protection law, by making payment over the phone, you agree to these terms. Any refunds outside these terms are at the professional discretion of ER.
You must ensure the site is safe for the contractor to carry out the work and that safe access is provided when the contractor arrives. Failure to ensure safety or access may result in no service being provided, and the callout fee may still apply.
Calls may be recorded for evidential and training purposes.
It is your responsibility to obtain suitable permissions, permits, licenses, or consents from the property owner or relevant authorities (e.g., planning permission) before work begins. ER is not liable if these are not secured. Work carried out by contractors is guaranteed under their own policies, typically up to a maximum of €2.5 million in public liability insurance. ER is not responsible for damage or defects arising from work not fully guaranteed or where recommended work was not completed as proposed by the contractor.
You are solely liable for any hazardous situations related to gas safety regulations or gas warning notices, unless caused by our Gas Safe-registered contractor. All Gas Safe contractors operate under their own registration and are solely responsible for gas-related work and liabilities. ER will use all reasonable efforts to deliver services on time but is not liable if completion is impossible due to events, parts requirements, or circumstances beyond our control.

We aim to respond to disputes or complaints within 5 working days (Monday–Friday). Our team is available 24/7 to assist. If you’re not satisfied, you can escalate your complaint to the Data Protection Commission (www.dataprotection.ie) for Republic of Ireland customers or the Information Commissioner’s Office (www.ico.org.uk) for Northern Ireland customers. Emergency Repairs 24/7 reserves the right to update these terms and conditions from time to time in line with data protection regulations. You should check these terms regularly, and continued use of our service constitutes acceptance of any updates.
These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Ireland. Any disputes related to these terms or Emergency Repairs 24/7 will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ireland.
